April fools! I don’t have the remastered chapters done yet! Oh wait that’s not something i’m happy to joke about-
Let’s do an update! First and foremost, yeah- Sorry about the delay on the remastered chapters! The time it takes to finish these pages alongside balancing work and taking care of my household is difficult to balance. I’m aiming for June the earliest to have another update on things and hopefully be near done by then. I will be taking a trip at the start of April to finally relax with some friends. It will be refreshing, because good lord I need the time away…
Last update I mentioned one of the reasons I started this editing journey was because this year marks Black Sunshine’s 10th anniversary and April 1st is the day I posted the first page for the story! It’s funny how this works since I consider October 21st the true anniversary because that’s around the time the initial concept was made, then revisited a few years after and then I announced I was starting production of the comic. Then during the spring the following year of the initial concept was when I was exploring the idea further, then I started to make new concept work a few years after and then I started posting the pages. It’s funny to see how patterns appear with the work on this comic. In short, gee Jasmine how come you get two comic birthdays? Haha!
I’m very excited for the remastered to be published and read everyone’s reactions to the changes! If you want early access to see the finished chapters and the chapters in progress, you can actually subscribe to the patreon! All paying members will see finished pages while $5 and up members can see the work in progress steps (From Pencils to Inks to Flats and so on).
Currently Chapters 1 and 2 are finished and you can read those and the other in progress PDF files through patreon as well!
We have a total of 82 pages left to finish. Granted we also have some extra work including touch up with Chapters 7-9, new chapter covers, new web assets and a new website layout in the future! A lot on my plate, but I’m a person who likes to keep busy. I appreciate everyone for being patient with me!
Hopefully the next update will be celebrating being done with the remastered pages!
